“Where do we go for a casual lobster dinner "in the rough" in Rockland?"
The answer is Claws ! - Welcome to our 4th season
2016 Maine Lobsterpalooza Lobster Mac 'n Cheese Professional Chef - First Place & 2016 Maine Lobsterpalooza People's Choice Award
Nestled in the Lobster Capital of the World - Rockland Maine - and perched on the northwestern edge of the harbor, Claws offers only the freshest seafood available sourced from local fishermen. With lobsters & crabs from Penobscot Bay, scallops from Vinyl Haven and clams from the Saint George, your taste buds will hum with glee from the sweet briny flavors.
We are proud to be Rockland’s only casual lobster eatery, with an expansive deck overlooking Rockland Harbor. During inclement weather, you can dine under our “lobster tail” - Our patio is now fully enclosed and heated! On warm days, we simply roll up the windows so you can enjoy the fresh salt air while you dine.
Why is our seafood so amazing? One reason is that “there is just something in the water up here”. Time and time again we hear our customers say “We have never had sweeter lobster anywhere” and “These clams are so sweet they are like candy”, and “This crabmeat is so amazing - it should be illegal!”
Our lobsters come to us directly off the boats each day. You cannot get a lobster any fresher even if you hauled them in yourself!

When you dine at Claws, you are “dining in the rough."
No one wants to attempt to eat a lobster wearing a suit with fine china!
While you enjoy dining on our expansive deck, you’ll soak up the views not only of beautiful Rockland Harbor, but you’ll also experience a unique view of the sea side of Main Street and the Apprentice Shop’s sailing school next door.
Drop by for a late lunch and you’ll see the island ferries make their way in and out of the harbor.
This is serious business, so roll up your sleeves, grab a picnic table and prepare for a true Maine experience that you will savor again and again.
Don’t leave without checking out our new gift shop!
Located right on the street-side deck. We have Claws t-shirts, hats, hand-painted lobster buoys, magnets, postcards and much more.
